International Centre of Law & Business (ICLB)
Independent Higher Education from Jersey
The International Centre of Law & Business (ICLB) is an independent higher education centre based in Jersey, Channel Islands, focused on business, management and artificial intelligence. It is not connected with the International Criminal Law Bureau or any legal practice or criminal law body.
ICLB provides academically led online education for professionals, executives and lifelong learners, through structured programmes designed to connect academic knowledge with professional experience.
Introduction
Higher Education for a Changing Professional World
Professional careers rarely develop in straight lines.
Knowledge may be acquired through university study, professional practice, leadership, entrepreneurship, independent research and years of experience.
ICLB provides an academic environment in which these different forms of learning can meet.
Our programmes combine structured study, critical thinking, academic assessment and contemporary digital learning. Where appropriate, previous certified or experiential learning may also be considered within the academic framework of a programme.
The objective is not to make higher education easier.
It is to make it more relevant to experienced learners.
Educational Philosophy
Academic Learning. Professional Experience. Intellectual Development.
Higher education has traditionally been organised around what happens inside universities.
Yet professionals continue learning throughout their careers.
They solve complex problems, lead organisations, develop businesses, advise clients, manage teams, interpret evidence and make decisions in uncertain environments.
This experience can represent substantial learning.
ICLB brings professional knowledge into dialogue with academic study.
Students are expected to analyse, question, research and demonstrate what they know. Professional experience provides context; academic enquiry transforms that experience into structured knowledge.
AI-Guided Learning
Technology Supporting Education
Artificial intelligence is changing how knowledge is accessed, organised and explored.
ICLB uses contemporary technology to support students throughout their learning journey.
Digital and AI-supported tools can assist with orientation, explanation, formative learning and engagement with course materials.
Technology does not replace academic judgement.
Assessment requires students to demonstrate their own understanding, critical reasoning and ability to apply knowledge.
At ICLB, technology supports education. It does not substitute for it.

Who we are
Independent higher education, from Jersey
ICLB is a small, independent centre for higher learning. We teach law, business and AI to working professionals across the world through self‑paced programmes designed and moderated by our own academics.
A different kind of institution
ICLB is an independent higher education centre. We design and deliver our programmes, assess our students, and stand behind the academic standards of the education we provide.
Rooted in Jersey
The Bailiwick of Jersey offers a stable common‑law jurisdiction, deep financial and legal expertise, and a regulatory culture that takes small institutions seriously. It is home for our academic community.
Academic leadership
Our Provost, Professor David Marrani, leads a faculty drawn from law, business and technology practice. Assessment outcomes that materially affect an award are subject to academic review and the applicable moderation process.
Technology supporting academic judgement
AI tutors help you learn faster and mark preliminary work at scale. Human moderators review every material result. The judgement that shapes your award is always academic, not algorithmic.
