British degree
At the same level as a PhD, the E-DBA is based on practical knowledge rather than theoretical research. It aims to help you generate new knowledge and skills from your practical real-world experience.
Our E-DBA offers flexibility and Accreditation of Prior Learning (either academic or through work experience) making the studies very efficient for busy professionals.
The E-DBA thesis has an essential applied purpose. The E-DBA thesis must, therefore, be able to respond to a problem of management, mobilising the concepts and the most relevant theories for the treated problem.
Studying for an EDBA leads the candidate to develop high-level capacity to formalise a management issue in problematic research, and explore the alternative theories offered in the leading science organisations, understood in the broad sense ( economics, sociology, psychology, anthropology or history…). The candidate will be able to finally develop a model of original understanding and resolution. The developed skills through the E-DBA can be utilised on a large range of subjects, in varied professional contexts (studies, audit, consulting, management…) The quality of the E-DBA thesis is based on the integrity of the theoretical framework, the robustness of the methods utilised, and equally on the experience of the candidate.
Compared to a PhD, the E-DBA emphasises a more practical framework of the issues surrounding management. The requirements are the same as those for the Ph.D: scientific position, rigour in collecting and processing data, justification of choices, and conclusions.
E-DBA holders have very appreciated competencies. This degree is the method of entering a respectable job market, particularly in finance for a position with high salarial rewards.
It is a superior level 8 degree according to the European training levels, this means that there is no higher level. To access this level you must have a level 7 degree (master or MBA) Or demonstrate professional experience in a company or world affairs or the economic administration or the political economy. The jury examines the candidates and authorises the application. The E-DBA is acquired after a thesis is defended before a jury composed of members of the professional body of ICLB but also professors or persons of exterior world affairs.

The EDBA thesis includes
- A management question that’s complexity requires dealing with a solid theoretical body to define a problem and research questions with precision.
